To any racing driver, Spa Francorchamps is a beautiful circuit with many qualities any driver enjoys to race on. Not only is it an awesome track but it is just simply stunning. Fiona and Matt were looking to take their first podium finish they very much deserve since entering this series. Although it was a very busy weekend of racing for partner, Matt, as he was also racing in the British GT4 series in the same weekend!
Fiona had some issues with her seat arrangements in the car having lost weight after her seat fitting; resulting in Fiona rolling around a lot in her seat not having the stability for such a high G circuit like Spa! Thankfully this was resolved in time for qualifying and made a huge difference with Fiona then knocking 10 seconds off her practice time. Sadly, due to lots of traffic on the circuit and having to go out at the back as they were in the BGT pits, Fiona didn't manage to get a clear lap and therefore qualified 48th out of 49 cars.

"Race 1 was great fun, I got a great start making about 8 places in lap one and then battled up to P35 by the time Matt took over at the half way point. Matt then went on to do a great job and got us up to P14 overall, proving that we have the pace for podium."
During race 1, they had an intermittent problem with the gear change but managed to cope with this. Aston Martin Racing (AMR) tried to resolve this problem for us before race 2 but sadly it worsened the problem to the point where they had a DNF; Matt had to pit after only about 20 minutes in after the car stopped on the track meaning Fiona did not get out at all in race 2. A real shame as Matt was starting from P11 and had a great start heading towards podium position until the car stopped.
